SUBJECT LINE: Colorado Region SCCA Board of Directors Annual Elections and Meeting Announcement

Colorado Region is seeking nominations for Board of Directors.

Elections for the Colorado Region SCCA Board of Directors will be held at the annual meeting in September. Board Members serve a three-year term and each year 3 seats on the board become vacant as member terms expire.

SCCA Members can volunteer to fill those positions in two ways:

1. Express your interest to a member of the Electoral Committee for nomination to the board. The 2011 committee members are: Chris Doyle (chris@surfaceexploration.com) and Jim Leithauser (jiml@bimmerhaus.com).

2. File a petition to the board with at least 5 endorsement signatures of current Colorado Region SCCA members. The petition can be given to the Electoral Committee or any current BOD member.

Please also file a resume with Ed Shuler, redline@coloradoscca.org and eshuler@mac.com, so that he can publish it in the next issues of Redline.

As a volunteer member organization, Colorado Region SCCA relies on it’s members to volunteer their time and effort to make the club succeed. The Club has made huge strides in recent years, opening a new racetrack, running a time certain schedule, marketing the club at major and minor car shows and exhibitions, advertising for spectators (and passing all gate fees along to event volunteers), and adding Concurrent Regional / National racing to the schedule. If you would like to help the club grow and change in the upcoming years, then the board of directors needs your input!

Important Meeting Announcements:

The Annual Meeting of Colorado Region Sports Car Club of America will take place on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 8:00pm in the Corvette Room of Quaker Steak and Lube, 10392 Reed Street, Westminster, CO 80021. The regular monthly business meeting will take place at 7pm prior to the Annual meeting.

The September 20 Membership Meeting is Cancelled.

The new board members will be seated at the October meeting of the Board of Directors. Board of Director meetings are typically held the 1st Tuesday of each month at Breckenridge Brewery. However, the October 2011 meeting has been postponned until October 11.
