After registering for our first race and reading the supps, there's some questions that need clarification. First, after the DS on Friday, the schedule lists three regional races for Saturday for each group. Are each of these races points paying RMDiv Championship races? If so, the same question applies to Sunday, where there are no fewer than FOUR regional races listed for each group! By my count, that means there'll be no less than SEVEN RMDiv races that weekend, in addition to the school starts and practice races listed on the schedule.

Can I get a clarification? I've reviewed the supps twice and am still confused...

Actually, David, there are four races on Saturday as well as Sunday plus the invitational, low key school race.

As far as I know, all eight races will count (but not the invitational school race.)

Thanks for the quick response, Peter. I'd better start lining up tires and gas for that weekend- a championship is at stake!

Think of this weekend as an Enduro with Pit Stops!

David, you are correct ... for the LAJ DS/Regional May4,5,6 event there are SEVEN Regional races contributing points for the RMD Divisional Championship.

Boy howdy, am I happy, but tired today! That was some weekend- from doing tech on Friday next to an amp and soundstage rockin' out. To see how an event would operate with a driver's school, track event, PDX and SEVEN regional races was something else.

My hats off to everyone who worked the Ice Breaker- THAT was a lot of FUN!

David, it was great having you back on track with us! great drivers school with a bunch of enthusiastic new racers set to run the full season! La Junta has continued to make improvements and Alan Lasater is to be commended for all of his hard work in bringing the track back into viability. It is a fun, fun place to race with excellent passing opportunities and awesome hospitality. Thanks go out to everyone that helped with the Drivers School. I think that it should become a start of the season tradition once again.

Thanks for the welcome back, Paul. Although I really started my 2018 campaign at the HPT Majors a few weeks back, there's nothing like racing in your own backyard with both old and new friends. The LaJunta Ice Breaker was a success in so many ways and I was supremely happy to be part of it.
