Crash & Burn School – Kindly RSVP


The Colorado Region “Crash and Burn School” will be held Saturday March 14, 2009 at the Quint Valley Recreation District Building and Rodeo Grounds in Byers, Colorado. Registration opens for sign-in at 8:00 AM and class starts at 8:30 AM.

Directions to the Rodeo Grounds: From Denver, go east on I-70, exit at Byers (Exit 316). Turn left at the stop sign, go approximately 7/10 of a mile on U.S. 36. Take the first left turn after the Sinclair station on to a gravel road, go approximately 1/4 mile to large metal building and the rodeo grounds.

Expect classroom sessions in the morning covering basic procedures, radios, flags, and safety. Outdoor hands on fire training is planned for the afternoon. Lunch will be provided.

Wear comfortable cotton (non-flammable) clothes, T-shirts and jeans are fine. Bring leather gloves if you have a pair, otherwise we will have some to loan.

Due to the cancellation of the Crash & Burn School that had been scheduled for March 21 in Pueblo, Colorado Region’s upcoming Crash & Burn School in Byers will be the only SCCA school offered in 2009. We are expecting a large turnout, and need to know as soon as possible the number of attendees.
