Majors Awards Announced

By SCCA

Greetings from Race Central!

As a program that is built for racers, one of our goals is to build on our contingency offerings. Just because the season has already begun doesn‚t mean we‚re going to stop going out and finding benefits for the drivers.

We are pleased to announce the following new contingency/award sponsors for the Majors Championship events:

Alpine Lithographics

  • $100 cash per event distributed in a drawing at Hallett, TMS, Pueblo, HPR and HPT
  • $100 cash at years end
  • Eligible class: FF

Noble Enterprises

  • $100 cash drawing at Hallett, TMS, Pueblo, HPR and HPT.
  • Eligible class: FV (all drivers eligible)

Mazda North American Operations
  • Mazda will recognize the Majors Championship as it does a Divisional Championship, with $1,000 going to the eligible Champion
  • A driver may only claim a Divisional OR a Majors Championship, not both
  • Eligible classes: EP, FM, FP, SM, STU

See the Mazda contingency description for details.

SafeRacer
-Promoter of the Race award

  • $100 gift certificate to the driver determined by SCCA Majors staff to have made a significant impact in the promotion of the event and the number of entries within their class
  • Eligible classes: All
  • Year-end giveaways
    • Five $100 gift certificates to be drawn at the season-ending banquet
  • Eligible classes: EP, F500, FF, FM, FP, FV, HP, SM, SRF, STU

For each Majors Championship weekend in which a driver competes, their name will be added to the drawing. For example, if a driver participates in four of the events, their name will be entered four times into the drawing.

  • Volkswagen will recognize the Majors Championship as it does a Divisional Championship
  • Eligible classes: FP, FV, HP, STU

A driver may only claim a Divisional OR a Majors Championship, not both. See the Volkswagen contingency description for details

SCCA Runoffs Tow Fund

  • Eligible classes: EP, F500, FF, FM, FP, FV, HP, SM, SRF, STU

A driver will only receive tow fund from a Divisional OR a Majors Championship, not both.
