Corner Marshals Needed!

By ED SHULER

Sidewinder Rattles UP!

I recieved this letter from Jeff Hartle, The Utah Region Flag Chief.

Hey Ed

Hope your winter off season has been good.

I have been working “wintercross” events at the track every month so I have not really had an ‘off season’ this year. I am now in the process of training the newbies that the track has hired for the season.

I need to get the word out that we need as much help as we can get for our first Pro event of the season, the 2012 Utah Grand Prix at Miller Motorsports Park April 27,- 29th. It is going to be a great weekend and will include at least 7 different fields and will use the Outer, West and East tracks, hence the reason we need lots of marshals. It is the first event for the new World Challenge B Spec cars.

Any help you can give in getting the word out would be greatly appreciated.

Races include:

  • Pirelli World Challenge TC/TCB spec, GT/GTS
  • Pirelli Drivers Cup USA
  • Cooper Tire Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda
  • IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama (Good stuff here, great field!!)
  • Pacific FF2000/FF
  • NASCAR K&N Pro series West

It sounds like a fantastic weekend! All you Western Slope corner marshals, help Jeff out and see some fantastic racing. What could be better? If you can help, contact Jeff Hartle jlhartle[at]gmail[dot]com

If not for ‘May Daze’ happening at High Plains that weekend, I would be at Miller!
