Today the Colorado Auto Dealers Association (CADA) announced the delay of the DAS 2020 has become a cancellation. After 44 straight years of DAS, 2020 has become a victim of the pandemic. CADA had considered putting on the DAS in mid-August, just before the Last Chance Majors. This timing would have made it difficult to have the SCCA Race Car Pit Stop operational, but we won't have to worry about that now.
One precautionary tale as Colorado moves into relaxing Coronavirus precautions, the Convention Center remains prepared as an overflow site for patients if our hospitals get overrun by a surge of infections. Let's NOT let that happen! Wash your hands, maintain social distancing and wear a mask when needed. |

Just an update for the Denver Auto Show (DAS) 2021. CADA has scheduled the 2021 for March 24-28, 2021 at the Colorado Convention Center (CCC). But with the pandemic still a significant threat as 2021 gets underway, there's doubt whether the DAS will be held on those dates. The CCC is still outfitted and designated as a emergency hospital overflow site, so that's a more likely use. |
